Would you all please keep J and me in your prayers? We went to the adoption information meeting tonight with Bea.con Hou.se, and we’re feeling a little overwhelmed. Adoption is like purchasing 2 new luxery cars (YIKES!!) so we’ve got A LOT of decisions to make financially (as well as several others) and not a lot of time to make them. We need to get moving because we’re only here in BR at most another 2 years. And the agency is saying it can take anywhere from 6-18 months to be matched. Once we start we can’t relocate or we have to start over with the really inconvenient home study. A plus is that we really liked the agency, and felt like it could possibly be a good match for us. Regardless of whether we use them for the actual adoption we will probably use them for the home study so we can get that ball rolling.
But more than praying for us to actually get through a successful adoption, would you also be praying for the adopted mother that God has planned for us? She has some very difficult decisions to make, ones that I can’t even begin to imagine. If we go with this agency, it does only closed adoptions, so we will never know this earthly angel who will be sent to answer our prayers for a family. While that will be very hard for me because I will want to hold her tight and thank her one hundred times over, we know that a closed adoption is right for us because after all we’ve been through the last 2 years I don’t think I can emotionally handle getting close to someone, going to their appointments, and being there for the birth only to have them back out at the last minute.
We really do appreciate your prayers. And we’ll keep y’all posted on what happens!! This is an exciting time for J and me, but it’s also the scariest thing that we’ve ever had to do all at the same time!

You are always in my prayers! Wishing you both the absolute best! :)
I will pray for you both. You are going through a very eciting and scary time right now. I wish you all of the best.
Prayers your way, for sure.
When I was younger, people would say "I'll pray for you" and I dismissed it like "whatever, dude." Now when someone says it, I'm touched, honored & truly appreciative.
Age & experience are funny things.
