I've Gotta Do It...But I Don't Want To!

I've decided I've got to be one of "those" people and bug the agencies about what's next. I've been trying to give them time and let them call me, but I'm tired of waiting, and I have to be my own advocate here. I don't want to be the annoying "adoptive parent" who won't stop calling, but apparently they aren't going to call me. So if anything is going to progress I'm going to have to call them! UGH!!!

BR agency...
I need the SW to schedule her "getting to know you" meeting with us. Apparently that's all we have left to do with them before we're in the books. LET'S GET MOVING LADY!!! (On a more confusing note...I know we need to meet with her one-on-one, but we received a personalized letter about a seminar, and at the bottom it said, "If you're planning to be out of town for more than 2 days, please let us know in case we hear from an EM." Now, does that sound to you like we're already in the books with them even without the meeting??? Goodness, I'm so confused!!!)

MS Agency...
I need to know if our application has been accepted and what to do now. We have to write a Dear EM letter, but they were supposed to send us examples.

I agree, call and bug them. You have a right to know what's going on. And as much money as you will eventually pay to them, they need to keep you up to date!

You have to call! If you were wanting a certain job, you'd call, right? Well, you ARE applying for a job - the job of parents. Light some fires! You'd hate to be forced to use that boot. :)
